Nena is maintaining her fineness but lacks density and crimp. She is a good option for an inexpensive way to get started raising alpacas. Nena was our first female alpaca and her first great grandson was just born on our farm in October 2011!

Shylow was the result of breeding our own Nena with our herdsire Vinnie, we were very pleased with the outcome. He showed in the highly competitive fawn class and did quite well.

We would love to keep him around but we have enough breeding males for our small foundation herd. He has nice, crimpy fleece has a nice disposition.
